About
For most of my life, I thought I was supposed to be a mathematician; working on websites was just a side job and favorite hobby. I was three long years into a PhD program before I realized I had it all backwards. I’ve been focusing on WordPress development exclusively since 2016.
I like to either be completely dependent on the internet or avoid it as much as possible by setting off on long journeys on foot or by bike.
Excursions

Pacific Crest Trail
2660 miles from Mexico to Canada, of which I have only hiked about 1900 because California doesn't like me. But I've hiked more than Cheryl Strayed, which is what matters.

Hayduke Trail
800+ miles through the stunning and remote backcountry of the Colorado Plateau, including six national parks. Not recommended for extroverts.

Colorado Trail
486 miles through the mountain towns of the Colorado Rockies. Decent odds of spotting a moose. They say the lightning is like clockwork but they lie.

Arizona Trail
800 miles from Utah to Mexico. Don't pet the cactuses and don't believe the propaganda: hiking up a "sky island" is the same as hiking up a regular mountain.

Pacific Coast Bike Tour
1850 miles from Vancouver to San Diego, featuring beautiful coastal scenery and redwood forests. Get up close and personal with logging trucks and RVs on the highway.

Portland-to-Portland Bike Tour
5400 miles across the country, connecting the Pacific to the Atlantic; Portland, OR to Portland, ME; and last but not least, Corvallis, OR to Corvallis, MT.
